What kind of church is Solid Rock Church?
Great question! We don’t have any kind of denominational ties in our name for one simple reason. We desire to lift up the name of Jesus with everything we have. While we give to the missions of the Southern Baptist Convention and the Baptist General Convention of Texas, our desire is to lift up the banner of Jesus higher than any denominational banner.
What should I expect?
At Solid Rock Church you can expect to be welcomed into a community of Christ-followers who are not perfect, but are being transformed day by day into the likeness of Jesus. We worship God mainly through singing his praises and teaching the Scriptures. Lead pastor Jason Williams consistently brings a word from the Bible that directly connects with daily life. The music is fun and loud, and we sing new songs and old songs, joining in with people all across the world and throughout history in lifting up the name of Jesus.
What do I wear?
It is sad that we live in a culture that has a certain dress code for church. At Solid Rock you will see people dressed up and dressed down, so feel free to come as you are.
How Can I get connected?
At Solid Rock we believe that God has called us to do so much more than simply come to a service once a week. We are called to live life together. That’s why we have life groups: a way for us to join together in small groups and follow Jesus in authentic community.
